Gmail is cool. Use it.
Personally, it's my hub for all my email addresses. Every email I receive is forwarded to my Gmail account. When I'm home, I download my emails using Gmail POP3 capability. When I'm not, I use Gmail Web 2.0 interface. (Or my iPhone.)
I schematized all my home electronic setup using OmniGraffle. All this works pretty well now.

I have a Sony credit card.
Like many credit cards, you get 1% of your expenses in points. Those points can then be exchanged for any Sony product. With the points I got over the years, I "bought" speakers, headphones, batteries...
